Delivery Information

We know you want your order as quickly as possible and at Screws and Fasteners we're committed to fast dispatch and reliable delivery. Here's everything you need to know about how and when your order will arrive.

Same-Day Dispatch

Place your order before 12:00pm on a business day, and we'll usually dispatch it the same day. We ship from our two Australian warehouses (Brisbane and Sydney), and your order will leave from one of these locations. Orders placed after 12:00 pm or on weekends/public holidays will be sent out on the next business day.

Express Post Delivery

Australia Post

For most orders, we use Australia Post's Express Post service to ensure you get your items fast. Australia Post provides a Next business day guarantee to the following cities:

  • Melbourne
  • Brisbane
  • Sydney
  • Gold Coast
  • Canberra
  • Adelaide
  • Hobart

If you're in one of these areas, you can expect your package by the next business day after dispatch. If you're outside these cities or in a regional area, Express Post is still the fastest option - your delivery will usually arrive in 1-3 business days, depending on your location.

Courier Delivery for Large Orders

For larger orders (usually over 20 kg), we deliver via road using one of our courier partners. Delivery times vary based on distance from dispatch point. We can provide an estimated delivery timeframe for orders shipping by courier.

Shipping Locations

We ship orders Australia-wide. (At this time we do not offer international shipping.) If you're in New Zealand, please visit our NZ sister site at screwsandfasteners.co.nz to order.

Shipping Costs

Our shipping charges are based on your order details:

  • Calculated by weight & location: Shipping costs depend on the total weight of your order and your delivery address.
  • Minimum charge: The minimum charge for delivery is $16.
  • Instant shipping quote: You can get a shipping quote anytime on our shopping cart page. Simply enter your postcode to see the delivery cost for your order before you checkout.

Order Tracking

As soon as we dispatch your order you will receive a tracking email from Australia Post. This tracking link will show your parcel's estimated delivery date, its most recent scan location, and other updates along the way. You can click the link to follow your order's journey to your door.

If you haven't received a tracking email within 24 hours of placing your order (excluding weekends), please let us know via our Contact Us.

Authority to Leave (Unattended Delivery)

During checkout, you have the option to authorize the courier to leave your delivery unattended at your address if no one is home. This “Authority to Leave” (ATL) option is completely up to you, but please keep the following in mind:

  • If you select ATL: The driver will leave your package in a safe spot at the delivery address, and no signature will be required. (Choose a secure location, as we can't be held responsible for lost or stolen parcels after they're dropped off.)
  • If you do NOT select ATL: By default, a signature may be required on delivery. If no one is available to accept the package, it will be taken to a nearby post office or courier depot for you to pick up at your convenience.
  • Redelivery fees: For courier shipments, if an additional delivery attempt is needed because no one was available to receive the order, a re-delivery fee may be charged.
